The documents for a civil wedding in Mauritius Getting married in Mauritius is very easy for couples living in Germany and Austria. All we need from you is a copy of the first 3 pages of your passport and the international birth certificates. Your passports must be valid for 6 months when entering Mauritius, the international birth certificate must be issued max. 3 months before your wedding day. If you have already been married and divorced, we need a certified translation of the divorce decree or the international marriage certificate with divorce note. In addition, widows must present a certified translation of the death certificate of the deceased spouse. And if one of you has changed his or her birth name, we need proof of the change of name. You can simply scan these documents and send them to us by email. We will take care of everything else on site. After the wedding ceremony you will receive an apostille for the marriage certificate of Mauritius.
