. Our space can host up to 250 for a cocktail-type reception, and up to 120-150 for a sit-down dinner. We can seat about 200 for a ceremony. The cost for a wedding in our space is price+ HST plus a refundable damage deposit of $750. The rental includes the use of the upper level for the afternoon for set-up, and the whole building for the evening of the wedding. We also have a kitchen and take a 10% landmark fee on catering, however, we don't have any preferred caterers that we require you to use, and you are welcome to bring in your own non-catered food, subject to a kitchen use fee (cost depends on details of how the kitchen is used - whether just for prep and plating, or for cooking/ heating up food). We would require you to get a Special Occasion Permit to serve alcohol, as well as event insurance which is usually around $250 - please contact palcanada.com for a more precise insurance quote. We require Smart Serve certified bartenders for any events that include alcohol. We can provide staff for a rate of $25/hour, or you are welcome to bring your own servers (please let us know well in advance if you need our servers). We have tables and chairs for use included in the rental, although no linens or tableware, and you are welcome to bring in additional or different chairs and tables. Decoration, set-up and break-down (stacking chairs and folding tables) would be up to you, although we will have a staff person on hand to assist. Please note when planning for decorations that we don't allow nails in any wood elements, or candles (unless they are part of a supervised ceremony and are lit for only a short time). Our Great Hall has a cathedral ceiling with large beams that decorations or lights can be wrapped around, and there are a handful of existing hooks and nails already in the wood that you could use. We have a basic sound system comprised of a mixing board, microphones and two speakers, into which you can plug a laptop or iPod or other player, and we can accommodate additional equipment needed for a band or DJ. We have a computerized coloured light system which is an optional add-on and comes with a technician to run the lighting program. We also have a projection screen, and a podium. One note to keep in mind is that because our venue is within a residential area, we have a noise restriction after 11 pm. Live music would need to end, and any amplified music needs to be turned down after that time so that sound doesn't carry loudly outside the building, although it does not mean that the reception has to shut down. Also, a final note, because this is an older building it is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible. The Great Hall is up a short flight of stairs, and the washrooms are on the lower level. We offer a venue only for small intimate wedding ceremonies of up to 60 people. Ceremony Only - priceinc GST per hour (includes 1 free hour before and after for set up/pack up) + $200 Bond This includes exclusive use of outside area, shade area & barn for hired hours only. Mudbrick cottage will remain open to public for sales throughout ceremony. Please note that public will be permitted into outside areas until 1 hour prior to hired time. At this stage, the area will be closed off to public and setup may commence. The safety of all props/decorations are the responsibility of the hiree. The hirer takes no responsibility for theft or damage to hirees property. Pack up of all belongings to be completed within 1 hour of booking conclusion as venue will then be reopened for public use. All rubbish and props to be taken off site. Any required disposal costs will be withheld from bond. Confetti, rice & paper etc. are not permitted. Petals and dye free bubbles are acceptable. Candles are permitted but care must be taken to ensure any wax is collected so as to not damage furniture. All props, decorations & furniture brought on site should be suited to theme of venue. The entire property is a smoke free venue including car parks, any persons not abiding by venue conditions of entry (stated on Terms & Conditions) may be asked to leave the premises. It is the responsibility of the hiree to ensure all guests are aware of conditions. No pets are permitted on property. 17th Century South of France Chateau with Private Pool in the Languedoc, sleeps up to 20 people. A minimum 3 night stay is possible please ask for details on cost. Please enquire about the supplement for exclusive use of the Chateau for a wedding. The extensive grounds of the Chateau have the most wonderful backdrop - 15 acres of landscaped garden with fields and woods, accessed by a tree lined drive, this lovely 17th century château has been entirely renovated and offers peace and tranquillity but with easy access to the South of France town of Pézenas only 2kms away. (One can easily transport our imagination back in time to an epoch of elegance and grandeur, when Moliere wrote his plays and troubadours roamed the Languedoc countryside...) Charming and tasteful renovations have been finished to a high standard, retaining character and tradition. The accommodation comprises 10 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms plus 3 large reception rooms and a stunning staircase, an old glass 'orangery', chapel and stables (no longer in use). In the mature park is the 13m x 5m x 1.1-2.5 heatable pool (extra cost) with pool-house/summer kitchen and wc, plus outside shower. The Orangery adjoins this Chateau The three Reception rooms, well equipped kitchen, living area, 'Music Room', lawned gardens and wooded paths offer all that is needed for that well deserved break from the rat race in the South of France You will also find a former pond and listed fountain in the grounds. The winding paths boarded by mature trees, provide shade in summer and total privacy (even seclusion if one is seeking it). The wonderful open lawn in front of the Château is ideal for hosting receptions, family celebrations, small weddings and other 'special events'. When renting the MMoCA Sculpture Garden for your reception, you have one flat fee (includes staffing, security, custodial, vendor assistance, and the lobby as a back-up location): Reception (which can take place between 5-11 pm on Saturdays, with more flexibility for Friday and Sunday events) Note: there is a discount available for events held on Sundays, or outside of the peak season (April-November) This rental fee does not include a $250 Langer Society membership, which is required to rent space at MMoCA. Other benefits of a Langer Society membership include invitations to special exhibition previews, discounts at the museum store and at foodfight restaurants, and free admission to museums around the country. You can find out more information about Langer Society memberships via our website: mmoca.org MMoCA can accommodate up to 80 guests for a formal, sit-down dinner or up to 175 for an informal reception, featuring food stations and passed appetizers. Fresco is the museum’s exclusive caterer, specializing in American Contemporary cuisine. You'll also work with fresco for any additional equipment rental needs (such as chairs, tables, linens, AV equipment, etc). The museum's lobby is automatically saved as the back-up in case of inclement weather.
