The Queens Wharf Ballroom is a unique blend of historical ambience and contemporary convenience, a popular choice for weddings. Wooden floors, velvet drapes and elegant chandeliers fill this stunning space and add to the simple ambience that complements the most extravagant or understated decorations. To hire the Queens Wharf Ballroom for a wedding reception we require a minimum price, on food & beverage. This includes:

Our simple yet stunning wedding package gives you is based on 2 people eloping in our private bay. We can tailor each package according to the couples needs but every couple will receive all the essentials to enjoy their special day.

Everything is provided in one location so there is no need to rush from place to place. Arrive anytime from 2pm where the celebrant will meet with you to go through all the formalities. We can organise helicopter transfers, wedding gown and meals as per your request.

Wedding venue for 60 guests, price for 1 person
Burnside Church was established 15th May 1875 in the rural town of Pirinoa, situated 22 km south of Martinborough. Burnside is a church full of rich history and character, the perfect place for your next intimate occasion.
The Church itself seats approximately 60 people, although larger numbers have been accommodated in the past, and may be hired for Weddings for a sum of $300NZD. This includes cleaning and ground maintenance before your event.
Due to the historic nature of this venue, there is no power on site, but on fine days Burnside boasts great natural light, and for those who have booked in the past, this quality has added to the style of the day.
Keeping in mind that our venue was built in the 1800's and constructed out of beautiful timber, we do not allow open flames (such as candles) in the Burnside Church.
We do pride ourselves on making your special day at Burnside Church as easy for you as possible, and can be extremely flexible in regards to access to the church and allowing decorations inside.
Burnside is also equipped with a Piano, a Small Pedal Organ and more recently a Toilet facility for you and your guests.
Viewings of the Burnside Church can be arranged with ease, please don't hesitate to visit this one of a kind venue.
