This event is traditionally shared at a rehearsal dinner but missed in more intimate settings. The guest also share in cake. Guest are able to share their cake and drinks standing. If you have any ideas that you would like to incorporate at your reception, we would be happy to work with you. Two possible additions to your reception, Pearls of Wisdom Box and Chalk Board Message photos. We will provide a chalkboard and chalk. Your guest - singles, couples or groups write a message on the board and then hold it up for a photo. The Pearls of Wisdom Box can be displayed. A lovely chest with paper, pen and of course pearls is displayed and your guest are encouraged to leave a note of wisdom and deposit in the box for the two of you to enjoy at a later date. Both are provided at no additional cost. The celebration additions take place during your mini reception. After the photographer has completed your photos he is available to capture your guest with your chalk board messages. We are happy to work with you to create your own personal reception.

The wedding ceremony and reception can be any four hours that you choose from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The end time is always no later than 10:00 p.m. (You may choose to extend the time of your event for a charge of $175 per hour for Pavilion and cash bar.) The Rental Agreement includes the use of the Gazebo and Garden Pavilion, set up of ceremony chairs, set up according to room plan of stock 60 " round tables and standard Chiavari chairs with pads for reception, white tablecloths, white napkins (or select from an assortment of colored napkins at no additional charge), cash bar set up with bartender and glassware and parking for number of guests contracted for the hours of the event only. Guests should plan to arrive no earlier than half hour before the event. There is no overnight parking permitted. The Garden Pavilion is 30x48 and the maximum capacity 150 seated or 200 cocktail style. Catering is not included in the Rental Agreement. Victoria's Kitchen, located at 725 Lafayette Road, Hampton is our onsite caterer. Menu's start at $29.95 p.p. and can be customized to fit any budget. The colorfully tiled two-story building located at 3800 East Cesar Chavez Avenue (formerly Brooklyn Avenue) in East Los Angeles was completed in 1927 to house the Brooklyn State Bank. Designed by local architectural firm Postle & Postle, the building was to have four stores, a market and banking rooms on the ground floor, and a banquet hall, lodge room, offices, and apartments on the second floor. It appears the Brooklyn State Bank never occupied the building, as there is no record of it ever doing business at this location. It’s possible that either the bank never received its charter or it failed. In 1944, the Archdiocese of Los Angeles purchased the building for use by the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO). CYO opened in the building that same year, creating an important community venue to engage Mexican youth, curb violence, and counter systemic racism related to the Zoot Suit Riots in 1943. Event rentals are for 7 hours. The pricing below reflects the fee for 7 hours - 2 hours for setup, 4 hours for the reception itself, and 1 hour for teardown. If you would also like to have the ceremony in the space, we recommend adding 2 hours - 1 hour for the ceremony and 1 hour for cocktail hour. Each additional hour is $100 per hour. Food and beverage is not included. A 20% setup/staffing/cleaning fee will be added to the rental fee. The rental comes with tables, chairs, a sound system, and a wireless microphone.
