The Green View Room seats up to 200 guests/150 with dance floor and features sliding glass walls that open onto the Veranda Patio (seats 200). The Veranda Patio features a beautiful gas fire pit and olive trees wrapped in lights. Just down a bit from the Veranda, the Green Side Patio (dining seating 60/ceremony 170) has sparkling Italian lighting and view of the 18th Green; the perfect setting for a wedding ceremony or cocktail reception. The 1st Tee offers a warm green lawn and water-side setting for early evening Wedding Ceremonies. The First T Patio (seats 40-100) is perfect for luncheons, business gatherings, cocktail parties and rehearsal dinners. San Juan Hills Golf club also features the lively 19 Sports Bar & Grill; their menu features gourmet hamburgers, sandwiches and salads, with 25 large screen televisions for viewing your favorite games. As you may have already learned in your research, it is impossible to compare 'apples to apples' when comparing venue fees, as different venues include different items in their fees, and others tack on a bunch of sneaky hidden charges (we don't do that). Diablo Dormido contracts begin at $16,300 for up to 100 people, then $17,300 for up to 150 people, $18,300 for up to 200 people, $19,300 for up to 250 people and $20,300 for up to 300 people. While our price may initially seem high when compared to the ‘raw site fees’ of other venues, with the many items we include in our price (and the lack of extra fees and hidden charges), our clients have consistently found that their bottom line was far less with us when compared to other venues once the dust settled. The colorfully tiled two-story building located at 3800 East Cesar Chavez Avenue (formerly Brooklyn Avenue) in East Los Angeles was completed in 1927 to house the Brooklyn State Bank. Designed by local architectural firm Postle & Postle, the building was to have four stores, a market and banking rooms on the ground floor, and a banquet hall, lodge room, offices, and apartments on the second floor. It appears the Brooklyn State Bank never occupied the building, as there is no record of it ever doing business at this location. It’s possible that either the bank never received its charter or it failed. In 1944, the Archdiocese of Los Angeles purchased the building for use by the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO). CYO opened in the building that same year, creating an important community venue to engage Mexican youth, curb violence, and counter systemic racism related to the Zoot Suit Riots in 1943. Homestead Modern No. 1 was developed with special events – such as weddings – in mind. There is an ideal location adjacent to the main patio for ceremonies and that patio can accommodate up to 50 people for a sit-down dinner. The carport was planned so that catering operations can be carried out in that location – well away from guests. Additionally the property can accommodate up to 20 cars at a time.
