For an engagement shoot I generally work with the couple for about two hours utilizing one or two locations.  I have quite a few spots that I use in Marin and San Francisco but I am open to trying new locations as well. The shoot itself is very fun and easy going.  I do many different poses and try to get different reactions out of the two of you.  For clothing I usually recommend bringing a second outfit to change into half way through the shoot so you can have more diverse images. After the shoot I edit and color correct all of the images and deliver a final gallery which will contain anywhere from 100-200 images.  They are all print ready and there are easy instructions on how to download the hi-res images to your computer which you would have the rights to use for whatever you would like.

The following pricing is all-inclusive, covering travel, photographic coverage and creative direction by Chris Schmauch (owner of GoodEye), professional editing/retouching, online galleries for sharing and electronic delivery of specific of hi-res files for safekeeping: 


 Mini Engagement Session 30 minutes @ one location (within 10 miles of Santa Cruz) includes your favorite (5) fully retouched hi-res files of choice (additional files $25/ea)

Clients reserve the appropriate package at booking and may even upgrade during the shoot (provided I have the time available in my schedule). Clients may not upgrade after they see the results from the session as a way to get more photos at no extra cost.  Due to high demand, engagement session availability is limited to weekdays only (typically 2hrs before sunset). Check availability Yes, there are many cheaper photographers out there, but we feel (as do our clients) that the best experience and stunning results are worth every penny. Capture the love and excitement of being engaged, and get used to being in front of the camera before your wedding day. Engagement shoots typically last an hour long, at the location of your choosing. Clients can expect 40 edited, high resolution images via online gallery and disc, with full rights for printing the images. Engagement shoots come complimentary with any full-length wedding package, but come individually. A $50 deposit is due upon booking and the remaining balance is due at the time of the photoshoot. Travel fees will be charged if the location is more than 25 miles (round trip) from Long Beach, CA (90815).
