Benefits of a Destination Wedding
As we know, a couple’s wedding is a very significant milestone. It is a memory that will forever be etched in not only the bride and groom’s hearts, but also the dear guests’. Because it is an unforgettable celebration of life and love of two people, it should be impeccably planned—especially the venue!
Let’s be honest. The couple having to choose whether the venue should be in the bride’s hometown or the groom’s is a very tough relationship test (which unfortunately may sometimes lead to another squabble). My friend (bride) is from Asia, and the groom is from Europe, so they made things easy for their families and had their wedding in Mexico! They dodged the dreaded argument!
Because the destination is most likely to be somewhere far from your hometown, a lot of invited guests may decline or may not show up. For my friend and her husband, they had a fewer people who attended their wedding. So they were able to save their money for their starter home! That is definitely a good thing!
Fewer guests means you can spend quality time with the people close to your heart – for days! It was very intimate and we had a lot of time for relaxation and catching up! We were all on vacation mode and the couple kind of started their honeymoon right away! If you’ve been to a wedding with 300 guests or so, I’m sure you’ve witnessed how stressful it can be for a newlywed couple to try to meet and greet every one.
It was a lot easier to plan. The resort had an all-inclusive package (which was more affordable) so the bride just had to email/call up the resort, and knew that everything’s prepared for her. Or you can always find all your destination vendors right here at iBride.com!
