It may surprised you that not every girl loves planning a wedding and some people downright hate it. Drama happens, tears cried, things go wrong, and planning is a whole heck of a lot of work. With all those decisions and responsibilities, it's easy to see how some brides and grooms get completely consumed by the stress and turn themselves into the infamous Bridezilla.
Make sure to establish solid ground rules
I have always advocate communications during relationship is one most important aspect of keeping each other together. Before planning your wedding, make sure expectations are aligned, budget discussed and ground rules are agreed upon. If it is a no no for a black wedding dress, please make sure you say so earlier.
Take a break
Everyone needs a breather especially when planning wedding is an intensity affair. Give yourself time off to do things you enjoy. Even better, do things as a couple that have nothing to do with venue tours or fittings or guest lists.
Simplify
If you don't need it, then don't worry about it. It's easy to get lost in all the amazing details and felt totally overwhelm by decisions and other’s opinions. Walk away when you don’t need it and free your mind to focus on those areas that you need.
Cutting Back
Can you reduce the number of guests? Are you able to pull an afternoon tea party instead of a full blown wedding banquet? Can you house your own party instead of splurging on a hotel or a restaurant? There may be compromises, but if it means life not sucking as much, it's probably worth it.
Delegate Your Tasks
At the back of your mind, you probably know someone who is able to help you with your tasks. Whether it is the overzealous sister-in-law or the happy-go-lucky childhood friend, someone is always round the corner to help if you just ask.
