The ride back is a cyclist's dream - pure downhill all the way back to Orosi. This park protects a large area of the northern watershed of the Cordillera de Talamanca. You will find a wide variety of trees such as giant mahoganies and Spanish cedar. Several mammals including ocelots and jaguars plus 300 bird species including the magnificent quetzal can be seen in the park. Tango Mar On the way to the reserve we will pause in Tambor (right) and Valle Azul which are some typical small towns of the Nicoya Peninsula and take in some of the day-to-day life of the villagers. Once we finish our hike through the Curu Reserve, we will continue our ride to Montezuma and stop in the towns of Florida and Cobano along the way, which are some of the larger towns in the area. In Montezuma, we will hike the trail to visit the 60 ft. Waterfall which is located in spectacular flora.
