For the love birds. Fly to of the continents greatest game reserves and finish with a visit to its most romantic desert-island. Makes the perfect honeymoon. Overnight at: Norfolk, Samburu Intrepids, Mara Explorer and Kipungani Explorer

Day 1 Nairobi
Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be met and transferred to the Norfolk Hotel (or a similar hotel) for a day of relaxation (on a bed and breakfast basis).

Day 02
Samburu Intrepids
0700 hrs breakfast. After breakfast, we will be transferred to Wilson Airport for 0800 hrs Safarilink scheduled flight to Samburu Game Reserve located in Kenya’s Northern Frontier District. Our base for the next 2 nights will be the luxurious Samburu Intrepids Camp. Situated on the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River in the arid heart of Samburu National Reserve, Samburu Intrepids looks out over riverbanks where herds of elephant, buffalo and zebra come daily to drink – together with the rarer ‘northern species’ of reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx and long-necked gerenuk antelope. Enjoy a game drive in the afternoon following the river. Return to your camp as the sun slowly sets.

Day 03
Samburu Intrepids
A full day in Samburu with morning and afternoon game drives. The scenery here is stunning. Giant outcrops of mountainous rock set amidst a semi desert, with one permanent source of water, the Uaso Nyiro River where elephant and buffalo come to drink. Look out for the resident cheetah, leopards and lions. The birdlife is abundant as well, and your driver-guide will assist you in identification. Engage them in conversations about the legends of the Samburu, their beliefs and traditions. All meals at Samburu Intrepids.

Day 04
Mara Explorer
0800 hrs we will transfer to the airstrip for our Safarilink scheduled flight to the Masai Mara Game Reserve. The 45 minute flight will take you to Olkiombo Airstrip, from where your transfer could well be the first game drive! This is, undoubtedly, Kenya’s finest game reserve and our home for the next 2 nights is located in the very heart. Sitting above a sweeping bend in the Talek River, at the confluence of the Maasai Mara’s four game-viewing areas, the camp enjoys one of the most spectacular locations in the entire Mara ecosystem. An Explorer safari offers a unique game-viewing adventure, including three daily game drives with experienced guides, and trips to Maasai villages where we support several community development projects.

Day 05
Mara Explorer
A full day of game viewing within the reserved. Elephant and buffalo abound in the riverine forests, while out on the grasslands impala and Thompson’s gazelle can be seen together with their attendant predators such as lion, cheetah, hyena and jackal. Lesser-known species such as topi, hartebeest, waterbuck, eland and as well as many small mammals and bird species create a kaleidoscopic picture of wildlife.

Day 06
Kipungani Explorer
This morning we bid farewell to the friendly camp staff and fly to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport on the scheduled service, where you be transferred for the flight to Lamu. Departure is at 1315 hrs for the approximately two-hour flight to Manda Bay Airstrip. On arrival, you will be met by the friendly Kipungani staff for your transfer by speed boat. Perched on the edge of Kipungani Bay, where the protected mangroves of Kipungani Creek meet the end of a deserted 12-kilometre beach on the southwestern tip of Lamu Island, Kipungani is the ultimate dream destination for those seeking a true desert-island holiday.
